Mini Rose Show and Meeting
Please join us for a mini rose show (both members and the public are invited to bring roses in a vase for display). This is a non-judged show -- all are welcome to bring roses to share. Stay for the meeting and learn what our local society is all about. Alladin's roses should be in full bloom -- it's going to be a beautiful day! Date: Saturday, May 4 Time: 10am Location: Alladin Nursery, 2905 Freedom Blvd., Watsonville Second Saturdays (10am-noon): Rose Education & Garden Maintenance The Monterey Bay Rose Society has a public garden with over 130 roses at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. We meet monthly on the second Saturday to share our knowledge with the public and keep the roses looking their best. We'd love to have you join us -- bring your gloves and pruners for hands-on learning. Rose experts will be there to answer your questions. 2024 Dates: April 13 May 11 June 8 July 13 August 10 September 14 October 12 November 9 December 14 Location: Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds -- 2601 E. A big highlight of our year is our annual Rose Show. Join us on May 4, 2024 at Alladin Nursery in Watsonville. This is a non-judged show -- all are welcome to bring roses to share. Want to see local gardens growing the best roses for our area? Tours of member gardens are another perk of membership. Our society has a display garden with hundreds of roses for you to see, smell and fall in love with. The garden is located at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds. Check our Events page for open garden dates. Our society includes members from Santa Cruz and Monterey counties (with friends from even farther afield) -- with experience and helpful tips to share on rose growing in our climate.
